Position: Sales Trainee (Permanent Full-time)
Employer: A Lumber Trading Company
Location: North Vancouver
Start Date: ASAP
Work Hours: 8:30am to 5:00pm

Main Job duties:
  • Sawmill quality control
  • Taking care of customers from Japan (pick up airport, attending customers at mills, some entertainment such as attending dinners)
  • Learn grade and species of lumber
  • Eventually to become a salesperson involved in export and/or import of lumber and building materials.
Requirements:
Must possesses
  • BA/BSc
  • Fluency in both Japanese and English
  • Some sales experience will be an asset
  • Proficiency in MS-Office
  • Driver’s license
  • Flexibilities for working hours
  • Knowledge / experience in lumber or building products will be definitely an asset
  • Have strong customer relationship building abilities
  • Are a motivated team player with high energy and a passion to succeed
  • Adaptable and flexible with work hours
  • Have the ability to learn product details quickly
* Experience is not important.  Rather, aggressive, outgoing person is preferred.

Compensations: 25-35k + *depends on experience

Requirements:

Remuneration - Standard procedures would be a 3 months probation period, followed by promotion (if acceptable) to full time with monthly salary w/ O/T, medical / dental benefits, sick pay benefits, bonus opportunities. There may be slight variations of this depending on performance, experience, etc.

Salary range would be approximately $1900 - $2500 / month.

* As a practice, all people would have to work in the factory in the beginning to learn about our products and operation.
